Voluntary Phase of BVD Eradication Programme closes end of March 2014

The voluntary phase of the BVD eradication programme closes on 31st March 2014.

Over 2,750 farmers from across Northern Ireland have attended a series of BVD eradication information and awareness sessions funded trough the Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme.

To date a total of 106 meetings have been delivered by 38 veterinary practices throughout Northern Ireland informing farmers about the benefits of dealing with BVD and highlighting the industry-led Northern Ireland BVD eradication programme.

Vets who have delivered a BVD awareness session are urged to submit their relevant claim documentation before the programme closes on 31st March.

The BVD awareness programme is funded under the Farm FAmily Options measure (Axis 1) of the Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme, part financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and DARD.
